The church is called St. Anthony in the Valley (Stellenbosch). I found it via a blog post and then Jeremy and I spent hours driving around trying to find it as there were no contact details, no name -only the angle of Stellenbosch mountains gave some clue as to it’s location. When we found it there was a wedding on and we both agreed it was perfect – intimate and light.
Four groomsmen and three bridesmaids. The bridesmaid dresses were made out of dark blue (indigo) raw silk and mine out of a white dupion silk (that had a pink undertone as opposed to a yellow making it just off white). The dresses were made by a friend, Han-Marie McDonald.
The very talented Nastassja Harvey, together with her husband Tim, were our Wedding photographers. They are such wonderful people and really made us feel so comfortable. We got 800 photographs edited which is amazing. It took Jeremy and I hours to sort out our favourites and we are still going back and editing our album collection. These are just a few of them…
The reception was at Bread & Wine, Moreson Wine Estate. The venue was stunning and the supersonic full moon made the evening even more special. The starter was the bread platter, main was steak with an amazing sauce and pudding was a almond tart.
