My dad lives in Harbin, China (which is right at the top and also known as the ‘ice city’ in winter). My sister went over there in June to teach English and to finish her teaching qualification. The stories that she tells are exotic and strange to imagine. She is blocked on Facebook and sending pictures is limited becuase the internet is very slow but she managed to sent these pictures of amazing sculptures through to me to share with you. They are tree’s/bushes that have been pruned on the walk way and road islands. It must be so inspiration to walk around and see such land-artworks. Perhaps I should visit?

In winter the ’sculputres’ are made from ice and in summer from the plants which are brought in by the truck load and replanted in the spring (becuase they cannot survive the harsh winters if left).
